Congratulations to Slovakia for joining the Euro.
Some years ago, not many, Slovakia was poorer than the Check Republic and by far not the wealthier of the central Europe new member states. Now with the common currency it is protected from the perils of monetary instability, interests rates may be lower, trade within the EU will be far better and, last but not least, the country will go through a serious upgrade.
Slovakia is now a first class country in the world.
Congratulations also to the European Union, the Euro and the Europeans. This shows beyond all doubts and criticism that the European integration is going full power ahead, that the Euro is a successful currency, and that all hopes are high for European citizens.
